Overnight closures continue this weekend on eastbound SR 520 in Redmond

Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will again close all lanes of eastbound SR 520 between West Lake Sammamish Parkway and SR 202 in Redmond Friday and Saturday nights for drainage and paving work. This work is part of a project to widen SR 520 in Redmond by adding a new HOV lane and merge lane.

A signed detour will direct eastbound drivers left on West Lake Sammamish Parkway, right on Leary Way NE, right on Bear Creek Parkway to SR 202/Redmond Way.

From Friday, March 12 to the morning of Saturday, March 13, crews will close all lanes of eastbound SR 520 between West Lake Sammamish Parkway and SR 202. One lane will be closed at 10 p.m. with all lanes closed by 11 p.m. The ramp from West Lake Sammamish Parkway to eastbound SR 520 also will be closed at 9 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday.

From Saturday, March 13 to the morning of Sunday, March 14, crews will close all lanes of eastbound SR 520 between West Lake Sammamish Parkway and SR 202. One lane will be closed at 10 p.m. with all lanes closed by 11 p.m. The ramp from West Lake Sammamish Parkway to eastbound SR 520 also will be closed at 9 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday. The reopening time reflects a return to daylight-saving time.

The $105 million project is expected to be completed in late 2010.
