Overlake Service League sets benefit luncheon March 19

Overlake Service League will hold its 10th Annual Step Up To The Plate benefit luncheon March 19. The funds raised at the event benefit all 18 of their programs and services that provide support to thousands of low-income Bellevue residents.

Programs include human services and emergency assistance, youth programs, and educational grants. Presenting sponsor for the luncheon is The Bellevue Collection.

Honorary chairs for this year are Naveen and Anu Jain, founders of Intelius Inc. Anu and Naveen have been supporters of Overlake Service League since 2001. “We’re proud to support Overlake Service League because their stewardship mirrors our philosophy of caring,” said Naveen Jain.

Patti Payne, Puget Sound Business Journal columnist, radio personality and longtime supporter of Overlake Service League returns again this year to emcee and present the program which includes outcomes and testimonies from past recipients of their programs and services.

Founded in 1911, Overlake Service League provides assistance for immediate needs as well as programs that build better futures for individuals. The League is supported by nearly 300 volunteers.

The luncheon will be from noon – 1 p.m. at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. More information is available www.overlakeserviceleague.org.
