Locally owned family business Omega Photo is celebrating its move to a new location with a month-long grand opening celebration. The event will be a time of giving back to the community, which has supported the business since 1964.

To kick off the celebration, Omega Photo is sponsoring a one-hour class on “How to take the Perfect Family Photo.” The class will be taught at Omega’s new location at 210 105th Ave. NE on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1-2 p.m. by veteran professional photographer and digital imaging educator, Jeff Greene.

Greene has presented hundreds of workshops and seminars, both nationally and internationally and has more than 25 years of experience in photo journalism, portraiture, and commercial photography. Space is limited and people should call 425-455-2126 to reserve a place.

The following weekend on Sunday, Dec. 9, Omega will give back to the community by sponsoring a Santa picture-taking event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. which will benefit Bellevue Lifespring (formerly Overlake Service League), whose mission is to promote stability, self-sufficiency and independence for those in need in the Bellevue community.

Omega Photo also will be giving away a brand new Canon SLR camera as part of the month-long celebration. To enter to win the camera or other free items at the store, go to Omega’s Facebook page, or get on its email list for updates for ongoing events and specials.

Omega is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. More information is available at 425- 455-2126.
