Nine to be honored for human services work

The Alliance of Eastside Agencies (Alliance), a professional membership organization of human service providers, will honor nine people or organizations for outstanding contributions of human services on the Eastside.

The public event will be noon to 1:30 p.m. June 4 at Bear Creek Country Club. King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert will be the featured speaker. Registration can be made at http://aeaawardluncheon2014.eventbrite.com.

The award winners were chosen from those nominated by Eastside human service providers that are members of the alliance. They are:

Outstanding Business:  Small Threads for Kids, nominated by Eastside Baby Corner

Outstanding Faith Organization:  Cascade Covenant Church, nominated by Encompass

Outstanding Elected Official: Jane Hague, King County Council, nominated by KITH

Outstanding Not-for-Profit Staff: Karina Woodruff, nominated by Friends of Youth

Outstanding Volunteer:  Mabel Graham, nominated by Hopelink

Outstanding Youth:  Alaina Blyth, nominated by Crisis Clinic
