Nigerian children’s author Kunle Ogyneye will read from his children’s book, Sikulu & Harambe by the Zambezi River, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 20 at CF Kids at Crossroads Bellevue Mall.

The book is an African version of the Good Samaritan story.

It is the first in a series of adventures that follow Sikulu the spider and Harambe the Hippo as they travel to different countries in Africa. In the village of Sioma the two characters encounter an old woman in need of help. The other animals all have convenient excuses for not helping while Sikulu & Harambe are the only ones who do.

Books will be available for purchase and kids can enjoy popcorn and refreshments while listening to the story.
