Newcastle also is holding a Poster Design Contest to advertise the “Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration.” All ages are invited to participate.

All entries must be submitted via email to Newcastle Parks Program Manager Michael Holly at michael@ci.newcastle.wa.us. Deadline for the poster is 5 p.m., Friday, June 4. The winner will be selected by the Parks Commission at its June 9 meeting.

The winner will win a framed copy of the poster and be recognized for the winning entry and help in celebrating the traditional summer celebration.
