Drive and dash: Washington State Patrol attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on Interstate 90, but the vehicle fled and crashed onto the ramp. Bellevue Police officers and K-9 units responded to assist with the search for the driver, but were unable to locate him due to a deluge of rain.

June 11

Public transportation pervert: A man at the bus stop in the 15600 block of NE 8th St. attempted to touch a woman in a sexual manner.

That’s coming out of his allowance…: A 15-year-old male jumped onto the hood of a Mini Cooper on display at 4— Bellevue Way while his friends filmed him. He was spotted by security the next day and charged with malicious mischief for causing $3,500. He was released to his mother.

Close encounter: A woman living in the 9800 block of NE 16th St. came home and heard someone inside of her house. She back out of her home and called 911, who were unable to find the burglar. Some small personal items were taken.

June 14

Naked nuisance: Police were dispatched to reports of a naked female outside screaming in the 1600 block of 130th Ave. NE. The arriving officers found a motorhome fully engulfed in flames. The fire department was able to put the fire out and no one was found inside. Police never located the naked screaming woman.

Public transportation pervert strikes again: A female victim was riding a metro bus when the male suspect sat down next to her. The male suspect proceeded to expose himself to the victim and masturbate. The victim jumped up and notified the bus driver. The suspect exited at the next bus stop and fled from the area. No one notified police until several hours after the incident.

Significant other scam: A woman received a call on her cell phone, and a male voice informed her that her husband had been in an accident and needed assistance. During the conversation, the male told the woman to go to the nearest Rite Aid and purchase several money orders for information about her husband. Officers were able to contact her husband, who confirmed that he had not been kidnapped or involved in any suspicious activity.
