Mushroom show set in Seattle

The Puget Sound Mycological Society will hold its 46th Annual Wild Mushroom Show on Oct. 17-18 in Seattle.

Hundreds of mushroom species will be on display, identifiers will help people sort out collections they bring in, there will be tastings, lectures, book sales, art.

This year the event will feature the first mushroom guide specific to this region Steve Trudell and Joe Ammirati’s Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest has just been published. Signed copies will be available at the show.

Cost is $7, $5 for seniors. Children are free.

The show will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.
