The Washington State Patrol is investigating a multi-car and motorcycle collision in Bellevue this weekend that killed a Mill Creek man and injured another.

Three motor vehicles and three motorcycles crashed into one another on the eastbound Interstate 90 exit onto Interstate 405 on April 2. The chain reaction reportedly started when a 28-year-old Tacoma woman struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle that had stopped for traffic and pushed the vehicle and its driver into two Volkswagen cars.

Then, one of two additional motorcycles struck the Tacoma woman’s car, and then veered to the right and crashed on the roadway.

The younger male motorcyclist was killed in the crash, while the female motorcyclist was transported to Harborview Medical Center with injuries to her ribs and burns to her face.

The drivers of the three cars and other motorcycle involved in the crash were not seriously injured.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash. The state patrol is still investigating the chain of events and cause of the collision.
