The woman offered the child a ride to school but the child refused not knowing who the woman was, and the woman immediately drove away.

While at this point there is no evidence of any criminal intent, police say it is always concerning when an incident like this is reported and it doesn’t have any additional information. Those who have heard of any similar incidents are asked to call 911.

Police officials also say that parents should talk with their children and remind them not to accept rides from anyone they do not know and to immediately inform the Medina Police Department of any suspicious circumstances. Parents who cannot drive or walk their child to school should make sure their child always walks to and from school with another student or a group and never walk alone.
