Medina Days celebration kicks off tonight

Annual Medina Days celebration kicks off Tuesday night.

The annual Medina Days celebration is back in full effect this week, with festivities kicking off at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening with a Concert in the Park.

Presented by Overlake Golf & Country Club, the concert will feature music by MOXIE – the celebrated (little) big band from Seattle. Opening for Moxie is Sanvich, a local band made up of Eastside high school students. The concert will also bring to Medina a variety of Seattle’s best food trucks. Other activities happening as part of the Medina Days celebration can be found below:

Wednesday, Aug. 7: Softball Game, 6:30 p.m., South Beach vs. Overlake

Thursday, Aug. 8: Softball Game, 6:30 p.m., Medina Heights vs. North Point

Friday, Aug. 9: Block Parties, 6:30 p.m. – whenever you’re asked to leave

Saturday, Aug. 10: People and Pet Parade, 10 a.m. (Meet at St. Thomas @ 9:30 a.m.); Carnival 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Medina Park; Softball Tourney, 1:30 p.m. 3rd Place Game and 3:30 p.m. Championship game; 6 p.m.-midnight: Beach Party at Medina Beach rain or shine.

All softball games will be held at Medina Elementary ball field; the beach party and fireworks show will be held rain or shine.

The Medina Days clean-up party will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Aug. 11 at the beach. For more information about the celebration, go HERE.
