Bellevue Mayor Conrad Lee today signed an agreement with a major Chinese construction firm during a Washington state trade mission that means a possible office location here by Beijing Construction and Engineering Group International.

Lee, who joined representatives of Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s office for the trade mission, also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chaoyang District of Beijing to promote technology, media and telecommunications innovation in both cities through cross-border investments. Chaoyang is also considering opening a small office in Bellevue, according to a news release from the city.
