Max Hummer receives Eagle Scout award

Max Hummer of Bellevue received his Eagle Scout Award on April 5.

Max Hummer of Bellevue received his Eagle Scout Award on April 5. The award is the highest rank in Scouting. Max is a member of Troop 641, which was chartered at St. Louise Parish in Lake Hills.

Former state Attorney General Rob McKenna gave the Eagle Charge, in which the prospective Eagle is told what the expectations are for the award. Max, a senior at Sammamish High School, began scouting in the sixth grade. He enlisted in the Washington National Guard as a junior and this summer he will complete his Advanced Individual Training and attend Washington State University in the fall, studying Mechanical Engineering.
