Marriage equality group launches Bellevue action center

Washington United for Marriage, the group that continues to campaign for gay marriage, has opened an action center in Bellevue.

Washington United for Marriage, the group that continues to campaign for gay marriage, has opened an action center in Bellevue.

The organization opened its new Bellevue center with a series of speakers, trumpeting Referendum 74, which would affirm a law made by the Legislature this year to allow for gay marriage in the state. Former State Sen. Bill Finkbeiner, State Sen. Steve Litzow (R-Mercer Island), the first Republican representative to support the act, 48th District candidate Cyrus Habib and the deputy campaign manager for Washington United for Music, Sheila Stickel.

The new action center is located at 13300 SE 30th Street, Suite 200, Bellevue, WA 98005.
