Lake Washington Boulevard, a popular route to downtown Bellevue, will be closed to eastbound traffic from Northeast 10th Street to 100th Avenue Northeast this week for repaving. Westbound traffic will be limited to one lane.

The closure, needed so construction crews can grind the roadway, will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Weather permitting, the repaving will be accomplished on Thursday and Friday. A detour route will guide motorists into downtown via Northeast Eighth Street.

Delays should be expected. Drivers are asked to follow detour signs, and obey flaggers and police officers directing traffic.
