KidsQuest receives $25,000 grant from Boeing foundation

KidsQuest Children’s Museum received $25,000 from The Boeing Company Charitable Trust to support early education programs and to launch a partnership between local children’s museums.

The grant supports KidsQuest’s early education program Discovery Tots, which provides essential early learning education and school-readiness preparation for children age birth to five years and ParentQuest, KidsQuest’s parent education program.

The funding from The Boeing Company Charitable Foundation also launches a collaboration between four children’s museums: KidsQuest Children’s Museum in Bellevue, The Children’s Museum of Tacoma, Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett and The Portland Children’s Museum. By using common assessment tools at each site, the museums will identify and recommend a series of best practices for institutions wishing to implement similar early education programs.

According to the National Association of Children’s Museums, this is the first partnership of its kind in the United States.

“KidsQuest is truly grateful and appreciative of The Boeing Company Charitable Trust’s continued support of our local children’s museums,” said Putter Bert, executive director of KidsQuest Children’s Museum.

KidsQuest Children’s Museum is located at 4091 Factoria Blvd. SE, Bellevue. For more information, call 425.637.8100 or visit www.kidsquestmuseum.org.
