Inspiration Playground project gets big boost from Rotary Club of Bellevue

The Rotary Wishing Well committee of the Rotary Club of Bellevue has donated the balance of $280,000 toward playground equipment for the Inspiration Playground project at Bellevue's Downtown Park.

The Rotary Wishing Well committee of the Rotary Club of Bellevue has donated the balance of $280,000 toward playground equipment for the Inspiration Playground project at Bellevue’s Downtown Park.

Committee heads, Andy Mirkovich and Mike Evered, presented the check and surprise announcement to Rob Rose, outgoing Rotary president during Rose’s last meeting June 24.

The Rotary Club of Bellevue is in charge of coordinating the $4.3 million Inspiration Playground capital campaign. and has partnered with the city of Bellevue to help fund and build a truly inclusive outdoor play environment at the Bellevue Downtown Park.

The club has raised a total of $1.5 million toward the overall project cost of $4.3 million.
