Humane Society continues adoption special through Sunday

The Seattle Humane Society will continue to waive adoption fees on all cats 1-year and older through Sunday.

In addition, people can adopt a bunny, guinea pig or other critter for free.

The pets are available at the society’s Bellevue shelter at the junction of I-405 and I-90 in Bellevue.

The Seattle Humane Society has been offering free adult cat adoptions since the beginning of December. More than 290 adopters took advantage of the offer, making it a record month for adoptions.

“We wanted to find as many cats homes for the holidays as possible, and we did,” said Brenda Barnette, chief executive officer for the Seattle Humane Society. “Every cat adopted created space at the shelter we can use to save the life of another furry feline in need.”

The Seattle Humane Society is open seven days a week from noon until 6 p.m.
