Hopelink seeking volunteers

Hopelink, a 37-year-old organization helping families, senior citizens and people with disabilities in east and north King County, needs some help itself in the form of volunteers to help it fulfill its mission.

The agency relies upon volunteers for such jobs as sorting food in one of its food banks, helping adults learn to read or do basic math or study for the GED exams, delivering food to homebound clients, or answer phones and helping with administrative tasks.

Volunteers must be age 16 or older.

An orientation meeting will be held at Hopelink’s Adult Education Department office, 15015 Main Street, Suite 206 in Kelsey Creek Plaza (across from the main Hopelink center) in Bellevue on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. An evening orientation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
