Bellevue firefighters and Overlake Hospital Medical Center doctors and nurses are teaming for the first-ever Heart Week. A series of events from Saturday through May 12 will feature medical teams providing free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings at local community centers, churches and businesses.
Early detection and treatment of high blood pressure and diabetes can greatly reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease including the risk of having a heart attack.
The blood pressure, glucose screenings will be offered at a number of locations, including:
