Golf classic, gala to benefit brain cancer research

The Eighth Annual Chris Elliott Golf Classic & Gray Ribbon Galawill benefit brain cancer research, awareness and patient support programs.

The Friday Oct. 2 events will take place at The Golf Club at Newcastle.

The Chris Elliott Fund for Glioblastoma Research (CEF) is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds specifically aimed at taking on brain cancer. The Golf Classic will be at the China Creek course and starts with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. shotgun start. All participants receive entry for a drawing for two tickets to the Seahawks 12/20 game against the Tampa Bay Bucs and exclusive pre-game sideline tour, two mulligans, lunch, goodie bags and more.

The winning foursome will take home $1,600. Individual winners will receive $400.

The first 50 golfers to register receive one free ticket to gala auction.

The Gray Ribbon Gala – in the St. Andrews Ballroom – begins at 5:30 p.m. with auction items including exclusive Seahawks VIP training camp and boating experience, tickets to Oprah Winfrey, SWAT Team ride along, gift certificate to Medi-Spa at Virginia Mason, summer sailing trip through the San Juans, Matador Tequila Sampling, appetizers for eight, and more.
