The Cultural Exploration of Greater China Foundation (CE) will sponsor four teachers from the greater Seattle area to explore Chinese culture by visiting China, Hong Kong and Taiwan for two weeks this summer. The deadline for accepting applications is Feb. 28.

In addition to guided tours of historical landmarks, this program includes many opportunities to meet Chinese school teachers, educators, parents and students. As noted by many past participants, these informal interactions with Chinese people allowed them to gain a better understanding of modern China and Chinese people.

The trip is applicable for teachers of all grade levels (K-12) and the foundation encourages teachers teaching subjects with components related to the understanding of Greater China to apply.

Since 2000, the foundation has sent more than 30 teachers on the trip.
