Local Firefighters will be using their boots this Saturday to help area adults and children with neuromuscular diseases in the 57th annual “Fill the Boot” drive.

They will be at the intersection of 84th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 28th Street between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., ready for motorists to donate cash and checks to help support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The money raised by the firefighters will support research, clinic services, equipment and a week long summer camp for kids free of charge by the MDA. “Fill the Boot” events throughout Washington will contribute more than $780,000 to these services this year alone.
