The Eastside has great activities for families happening this week. Here are a few ideas to jot on your family calendar.
Sammamish Days Celebration
The fun this weekend starts with a Kids Parade in Sammamish as part of their Sammamish Days Celebration. At 10 a.m., join the parade as it heads to City Hall, where there will be festivities, food, crafts, and performances from all over the world. It will celebrate the diversity and community of the Sammamish Plateau. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Festival at Mt. Si
Head to the hills of North Bend for the annual Festival at Mt. Si this weekend, starting Friday at 6 p.m. and running through Sunday. There will be a parade on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., and food, performances and contests all weekend long. You might try the cherry pie eating contest, see the Veils of the Nile Dancers, or catch the fireworks Saturday. There will be a Kids Fun Zone, arts and crafts, and tons of music.

Kirkland Street Scramble
If you are looking for a fun event where your family can work together, try the Street Scramble this weekend in Kirkland. You get a map of Kirkland with 30 checkpoints marked, then you see how many you can get to in 90 minutes or in three hours (you choose). You can travel by bike or by foot and make it just for fun or to win a prize. There will be lots of different winners, including Junior and Family. Check in is at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and the cost is $25 for an adult, $15 for teens, $10 for kids 6-12, with a max of $45 per team with kids.
