Long a fixture on the 400 block of 116th Avenue Northeast, Evered Mercury Lincoln was founded in 1957 by Art Evered with just two used cars and a gas station. The business prospered and became the number one dealer in sales volume and customer satisfaction in the Pacific Northwest.

In December of 2001, after 44 years in the business, Art’s sons made the decision to sell the business to Barrier Motors.

The idea of creating an “auto row” on 116th was introduced by the Bellevue Planning Commission and supported by the local car dealers on Jan. 3, 1962.
