Election Day results in for 48th Legislative District

Slatter and Walen lead in early results for 48th Legislative District

While many eyes are turned to the presidential election, early results in key races in the 48th Legislative District are also in.

For the 48th district, which includes parts of Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond, two positions for state representative are on the line.

These are the results as of election night, with more ballots expected to be counted throughout the week:

  • For Representative Pos. 1, Vandana Slatter (D) has 73.38% with 43,977 votes, against Victor H. Bishop (R) with 15,897 votes.
  • For Representative Pos. 2, Amy Walen (D) has 73.1% with 43,842 votes, againstTim J. Hickey (R)with 16,062 votes.
