Eastshore Singles plans walks in October

Eastshore Singles (ESS) will offer several events in October for single adults age 45 and older.

On Saturday, the group will walk the top of Education Hill in Redmond. The walk features a long steep hill at the beginning of the walk, and then mostly flat or slight elevation gains, followed by a lunch stop. The group will meet at 11 a.m. at 180th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 96th Way, Redmond.

On Oct. 9, the group will hold an easy walk on a mostly paved surface where Snoqualmie Falls can be seen from the end of the trail. A lunch will follow. The group will meet at 11 a.m. at 5546 Lake Alice Road SE, Fall City.

On Oct. 16, the group will walk along several of Kirkland’s waterfront parks, followed by lunch. The group will meet at 11 a.m. at 633 Waverly Park Way, Kirkland.

On Oct. 23, the group will take a four-mile walk along the Cedar River Trail on a level railroad grade. The interest for the day will be to look for spawning salmon. A lunch will follow the walk. The group will meet at 11 a.m. at Southeast 253rd and Summit Landsburg Rd, Renton.

On Oct. 30, the group will take an easy walk through a redeveloped neighborhood that is a HOPE VI project, followed by lunch. The group will meet at 11 a.m. in front of the High Point Public Library, 3411 SW Raymond St, Seattle.
