DavidBartonGym at the Shops at the Bravern will host its first toy drive on Dec. 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to reach David Barton’s goal of collecting its 200,000th toy for children in need during the holiday season. Guests will bring an unwrapped toy to gain entry, all of which will be donated the following day to benefit the Bellevue and King Country Boys & Girls Club.

Over the past 10 years, the gym has been committed to making a difference in the lives of children in need and 2010 marks the event’s expansion into Seattle, Barton said.

DavidBartonGym features locations in New York, Chicago, Miami and the greater Seattle area, and offers a cutting-edge approach to fitness. Each club is individually designed to reflect the community’s culture and flavor and is centered around Barton’spromise to “make you look better naked.”

Hosted by Barton, Susanne Bartsch, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Narciso Rodriguez and Andre Balazs in New York, the bi-coastal events will benefit various children’s charities and organizations.
