‘Divorce Buster’ coming to Bellevue on Nov. 7

As marriages continue to strain under the pressure of job loss, health issues, repeated military deployment and an increase in divorce all contribute to the problem, Stronger Families is bringing Michele Weiner-Davis to Crossroads Bible Church.

At the Nov. 7 event, Weiner-Davis will address the problem of divorce and share a message with couples about how they can keep love alive for a lifetime.

An author of numerous best-sellers including Divorce Busting and The Sex-Starved Marriage, Weiner-Davis has been featured on Oprah, 48 Hours, 20/20, The Today Show, CBS This Morning, CBS Evening News, CNN, and Bill O’Reilly.

Some have argued it takes two people to save a marriage. Weiner-Davis would disagree.

“Divorce Busting is a program that provides people with the skills they need to make their marriages work and keep their families together… even if one spouse has a foot out the door!” Weiner-Davis said.

The U.S. divorce rate still is averaging close to 50 percent.

“After several decades of rampant divorce and disposable marriages, we have finally learned that divorce often causes more problems than it solves. “ said Weiner-Davis, “Additionally, I believe that most divorces are truly unnecessary because most marital problems are solvable. Even long-standing, deeply entrenched problems can be resolved with the right tools.”

The presentation will be from 7-9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Cost is $40/couple or $20/individual.

Stronger Families is a non-profit organization led by former Seahawk quarterback Jeff Kemp. The organization provides education, resources, advocacy, and training that support marriages and families.
