King County has received a Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Declaration for the December 2008 snowstorms.

The SBA is now accepting applications for low-interest economic injury disaster loans. Small businesses that incurred snow-related losses at some point between Dec. 12 to Jan. 5 are eligible to apply.

Interested parties can obtain information and apply for assistance by calling the Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Customer Service Center at 800.659.2955 or by e-mailing disasterdcustomerservice@sba.gov.

The filing deadline is Oct. 20, 2009. Contact the King County Office of Emergency Management at ecc.kc@kingcounty.gov if the SBA is unable to address your questions.
