Sailors from around the Pacific Northwest will raise their sails June 8 to help raise money to fight blood cancers as part of the Leukemia Cup Regatta.
The event, a fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, let sailors host local blood cancer patients and their families for a carefree day of sailing on Elliott Bay.
After the day on the water, people will gather for a post-event party and auction at Elliott Bay Marina, featuring a BBQ dinner, drinks, prizes, live music by The Tropics, and a small auction.
Now in its 19th year, the Leukemia Cup Regatta is the first race in the Downtown Sailing Series which runs throughout the summer.
