David K. Glaze of Redmond passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. He was 79.

Mr. Glaze was born Aug. 1, 1932 in St. Paul, Minn., to Roland A. Glaze and Marjory Ann Kemp Glaze. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1957.

On June 21, 1956, he married Darlyne La Motte at the church of St. John the Baptist in Hugo, Minn.

Mr. Glaze served in the U.S. Navy and later worked for The Washington State Department of Transportation, retiring after 30 years.

Survivors include sons, Raymond, Douglas (Jan-Marie), Patrick (Donna), Daniel (Mary) and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years.

A funeral mass was was said March 21, 2012 at St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue. A committal service followed at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
