Crash injures two drivers

Two drivers suffered several injuries after one of the drivers slammed into the other vehicle March 27 in east Bellevue.

At 4:29 a.m., the driver of a 1991 Honda Accord heading southbound on 156th Avenue Northeast hit a 1998 Honda Accord trying to turn north onto 156th from Northeast Third Street.

The driver of the 1991 model was transported to the hospital for a broken femur and lacerated liver.

The Bellevue Police Department later arrested him for vehicular assault.

The police took a blood sample that was sent to the state toxicologist to determine if alcohol was involved. Police say it could take up to three weeks before results are received.

The driver of the 1998 vehicle was transported and treated for a fractured femur and pelvis.
