Dog-napped: The victim’s owner went into a restaurant on Northeast 20th Street to eat dinner, and left her dog in her vehicle with the window slightly down. An unknown suspect pried the window open and stole the dog. Police were able to locate fingerprints on the window.

Inappropriate screening: The victim reporting that she was being seen at the Bellevue Medical Imaging for a screening. She reported the technician provided her a gown, but no scrub pants, and had her put on red goggles that prevented the patient from being able to see clearly. The tech lifted up her gown on several occasions. He later returned and told her to remove her underwear and looked up her gown again. According to a physician, this was not standard procedure. According to the office, this was also the tech’s last day of work.

Rental wrongdoing: The victim responded to a Craigslist ad to rent the house located at 15 Crescent Key. He deposited $3,000 into a Bank of America account given to him by the “owners” who he only met over the phone. He quickly realized that he had been scammed once he went to the house and there were people already living at the residence.

PSE scam: The victim works at the Bellevue Hindu temple, and got a call from a female stating she worked for Puget Sound Energy and they owed $2,000 immediately or the power would be shut off. She said the only form of payment she would accept was prepaid debit cards. The victim purchased and gave the women the account numbers over the phone, but later realized he was scammed after talking to someone else.

Coffee cart creep: An unknown male was at the galleria on 106th Avenue Northeast by the coffee cart pulling his pants down and exposing his genitals to females.

Cookie-eating criminal: The suspect used a key to access a lockbox at the Soma Towers, and removed a key and key fob and gained entry into the building. The suspect was then seen on surveillance video taking and eating cookies that were designated for residents only! He is described as a white male around 5’10” wearing a green jacket and baseball cap.

Suspicious smelling salts: A woman created a disturbance at the Overlake Medical Center emergency room after alleging that staff stole her wallet and “smelling salts.” It was determined that the 1.77 grams of “smelling salts” looked suspiciously like meth and were confiscated by police.
