Construction to close Northup Way for up to seven nights in Bellevue

Drivers who travel on Northup Way near Lowe’s in Bellevue will need to take alternate routes for several nights over the next few weeks.

Drivers who travel on Northup Way near Lowe’s in Bellevue will need to take alternate routes for several nights over the next few weeks. Crews will close Northup Way completely from 120th Avenue Northeast to Northeast 24th Street for up to seven nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. During the day, crews will reduce Northup Way to two lanes starting Sept. 30 until the end of the year.

Crews will install barrier and begin building a pier for a new bridge over Northup Way during the closure. The bridge is part of a new ramp that will connect northbound I-405 to eastbound SR 520. The new ramp will help reduce congestion at the I-405 / SR 520 interchange.

Nighttime closures:

· Northup Way will close from 120th Avenue Northeast to Northeast 24th Street

· Crews will close the road at 8 p.m. each night and open at 5 a.m.

· Crews will work Monday through Thursday nights beginning Wednesday, Sept. 29 through Oct. 7.

Daytime closures:

· Starting Sept. 30, crews will reduce the same stretch of Northup Way from four lanes to two though the end of the year.

The work is part of the I-405 – SR 520 Bellevue Braids Project.
