Congressman to hold town hall in Bellevue

U.S. Congressman Adam Smith, will be in Bellevue Thursday night for a town hall meeting.

Smith is seeking his ninth term in Congress, with this election presenting a new challenge. Smith now represents a the redrawn 9th District, which added Bellevue and Mercer Island, along with several south Seattle communities and part of Tacoma in the latest redistricting process last year. Smith represents what will be the most ethnically diverse district in the state, with a majority of residents identifying as non-white.

Smith’s only declared challenger in the congressional race is Parkland Republican Jim Postma.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave NE.
