Robertson
Jennifer Robertson announced her reelection bid last week to keep her Position 7 seat on the Bellevue City Council.
Robertson joined the council in 2009 for a partial term and retained her seat in 2011, when she ran unopposed. She has lived in Bellevue since 2002, residing in the Somerset neighborhood with her husband and three daughters. She works as an attorney for several municipalities in the Puget Sound region.
Her list of endorsements includes councilmembers John Stokes, Lynne Robinson, Conrad Lee and Deputy Mayor Kevin Wallace and state senators Steve Litzow and Cyrus Habib.
Slatter
Clinical pharmacist Vandana Slatter is running for city council again this year, having lost a 2013 bid to Lynne Robinson for Position 6. Slatter is now running for Position 5, currently held by Mayor Claudia Balducci, who is running for King County Council.
Slatter was appointed to the Washington State Board of Pharmacy in 2007 and has served on boards for the Children’s Institute for Learning Differences and the Overlake Hospital Foundation.
She lists as endorsements state Sen. Cyrus Habib, Rep. Judy Clibborn and Bellevue Councilmember John Stokes.
Stokes
John Stokes announced his reelection bid back in February, seeking to retain his Position 1 seat.
Stokes is a former city parks and community services board member and current member of Eastside Pathways, the Bellevue Schools Foundation, Friends of the Cedar River Watershed and the city and state’s parent teacher associations. He has lived in Bellevue for more than 20 years with his wife, Bettina, in the Woodridge neighborhood.
His endorsements include Mayor Claudia Balducci, councilmembers Lynne Robinson and John Chelminiak and Sen. Cyrus Habib.
Chelminiak
Councilmember John Chelminiak is running for reelection his his Position 3 seat on the Bellevue City Council. Chelminiak has served on the council since 2004, and has endorsements from the Bellevue Firefighters IAFF local 1604 and Sen. Cyrus Habib.
