Bellevue Parks and Community Services wants Fourth of July celebrators to have a “full day of fun,” but remain aware of street closures and fireworks regulations.

The department announced Monday the details of its Fun Zone at the “Bellevue Collection Bellevue Family 4th,” which will take place at Downtown Park on the Fourth of July.

The Fun Zone will feature live music, inflatable dance houses, jugglers, costumed entertainers and 22 international food vendors.

The Bellevue Fire Department Honor Guard will present the colors prior to a fireworks show synchronized to a live performance from the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Two streets will close at 9:30 p.m. prior to the fireworks display: Northeast Fourth Street from 100th Avenue to Bellevue Way and 100th Avenue Northeast from Northeast First to Northeast Fifth Street.

Seven streets will close after the fireworks display. Alternate routes will be indicated by detour signs. Closed streets are:

• Northeast Eighth Street at Northeast 100th Avenue Northeast eastbound lanes.
• The 102nd Avenue Northeast at Northeast Eighth Street left turn lane.
• The Northeast Eighth Street at 102nd Avenue Northeast left turn lane and mall entrance.
• The Bellevue Way at Northeast Eighth Street southbound lanes.
• The Bellevue Way at Northeast Fourth Street left turn lanes heading southbound.
• The Northeast Fourth Street at Bellevue Way westbound lanes.
• The 100th Avenue Northeast at Northeast Fourth Street left turn lane.

The sale, use and possession of fireworks remain illegal in Bellevue, in accordance with a ban in place since 1994. More information can be found in a video from the Bellevue police and fire departments.

Pets are prohibited from Downtown Park after 2 p.m. Tents and other temporary shelters are prohibited after 8 p.m. Cooking devices like grills and camp stoves are likewise prohibited.
