City accepting Comprehensive Plan amendment applications

Bellevue is accepting applications for 2009 amendments to the city’s Comprehensive Plan.

Applications must be submitted to the city by 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30.

The Comprehensive Plan guides the nature and intensity of development in Bellevue. An amendment to the plan is the mechanism the city uses to periodically modify its land use, development or growth policies.

Plan amendments are legislative acts with broad public participation and discussion. The City Council considers amendments on an annual basis only, except for emergencies.

Complete application materials are available from Permit Processing (425-452-4898) in the Development Services Center at City Hall, 450 110th Ave. N.E, or online at http://www.bellevuewa.gov/comprehensive_plan_amendment_process.htm.
