Carnival raises $50,000 for KidsQuest Museum

The 2009 KidsQuest Carnival raised more than $50,000 to support the educational programs and exhibits at the KidsQuest Children’s Museum located at Factoria Mall. The adult-only carnival event, which took place on May 2, attracted 310 guests for an evening of interactive fun, food, and raffle prizes including a cruise from Holland America.

KidsQuest offers children and families interactive exhibits and programs integrating art, science, technology and life experiences.

This year, the KidsQuest’s Carnival included a new admission ticket option called the Ringmaster Circle, which allowed guests to purchase a ticket that included a donation to the museum. Ringmasters received a VIP welcome with champagne and blinking necklaces.

With no-kids-allowed, adults were able to let loose for an evening and play games including the Amazing Prize Wheel, The Wine Toss and the Balloon Dart Toss. Guests took turns having their photo taken as a muscle man or ballerina, had their fortune read using tarot cards, and received airbrushed temporary tattoos.

Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar served hors d’oeuvres and guests sipped on beverages from Chateau Ste Michelle and Red Hook as well as KidsQuest’s Famous Carny Cocktail.
