Life Scout Tony Brooks lead a group of 27 volunteers on Saturday, Aug. 30 in carrying out his Eagle project for Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue. Local businesses donated supplies for the project as well as refreshments for the volunteers.

The project included replacing the deteriorating amphitheater benches with new benches made of plastic composite wood. Users of the amphitheater had previously risked splinters and can now rest more comfortably.

The old benches were then cut into blocking for the interior of the pig barn, to help make it pigeon-proof. Some of the composite wood also was used to make a bench for the use of visitors to the pig barn.

Finally, the interior of the pig barn was primed and painted to make it brighter and more appealing.
