Body found by train tracks under NE 12th St.; police suspect cold contributed to man’s death

The police do not suspect foul play, according to a press release from the department. The man was only lightly clothed and cold weather may have contributed to the death, the release read.

Bellevue police are investigating the death of a man discovered under NE 12th St. Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded at approximately 2:23 p.m. to a report of a body near the railroad tracks that run underneath the street.

Police strongly urge men without overnight shelter to go to the Eastside Men’s Shelter at 1899 120th Ave. NE in Bellevue.

The Eastside Winter Shelter for Women and Children is located at Remond United Methodist Church at 16540 NE 80th St. in Redmond.
