Boating classes offered by Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron

The Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron will offer a number of boating classes on the Eastside.

 

The Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron will offer a number of boating classes on the Eastside.

A seven-week America’s Boating Course will be from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Newport Yacht Club, 81 Skagit Key, Bellevue.

An all-day America’s Boating Course will be held Sept. 22, also at the Newport Yacht Club. People can register on-line at http://www.bellevuepowersquadron.org/Education or first day of class. Everyone passing the final test of ABC courses can obtain the Washington State Boater’s Card.

A 10-week seamanship class will be taught from 7-9 p.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 10 at Bellevue High School, 10416 Wolverine Way.

Engine maintenance will be taught over 10 weeks from 7-9 p.m. beginning Sept. 11, also at Bellevue High.

A mariner’s compass seminar will be taught from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 12 at Bellevue West Marine, 13211 NE 20th St.

Piloting, a 10-week course will be taught from 7-9 p.m. beginning Sept. 18 at Bellevue High School.

A five-week skipper saver seminar will be taught from 6-8 p.m. beginning Sept. 18 at Bellevue High School.

Using GPS will be taught from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 19 at Bellevue West Marine.

Weather, a 10-week course, will be taught from 7-9 p.m. beginning Oc. 2 at Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club, 9927 Meydenbauer Way SE, Bellevue.
