Bellevue’s Quadrant steps up with socks to help Seattle’s needy

When Seattle's Union Gospel Mission discovered that it was down to its last 50 pair of socks to give to the needy, it turned to Bellevue's Quadrant Homes.

When Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission discovered that it was down to its last 50 pair of socks to give to the needy, it turned to Bellevue’s Quadrant Homes.

The home builder had begun a sock drive in early November with a goal of beating last year’s record of 3,700 pairs of socks. Even with a few weeks to go in the drive, Quadrant was able to send a van full of 25 boxes (3,857 pairs of new socks) Thursday to distribute to the community’s homeless men, women and children.

With one goal already bested, Quadrant now is reaching to collect a total of 6,000 pairs of socks. The firm partners with its employees, real estate agents, partners, and Quadrant homeowners in the cause.
