Bellevue student selected for National Student Leadership Conference

Bellevue High student Alexander Comair, class of 2011, will attend the National Student Leadership Conference on Medicine and Health Care this summer at the University of California Berkeley.

Bellevue High student Alexander Comair, class of 2011, will attend the National Student Leadership Conference on Medicine and Health Care this summer at the University of California Berkeley.

Comair and other students selected for the program will attend workshops and classes to develop leadership skills while engaging in hands-on learning activities with professionals and professors from top colleges.

Special guests at the conference have included U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, CIA director Michael Hayden, and several U.S. Supreme Court Justices and members of the U.S. Senate and Congress.

Comair’s father, Claude Comair, is the founder of DigiPen Institute of Technology, a Redmond-based college that primarily trains its students for careers in video-game creation.
