Bellevue seeks nominations for youth leadership award

Bellevue Youth Link is seeking nominations through May 10 for outstanding community service by Bellevue young people. The 20th annual Community Leadership Awards will honor youth in elementary through high school making a positive difference in the community.

Bellevue Youth Link is seeking nominations through May 10 for outstanding community service by Bellevue young people. The 20th annual Community Leadership Awards will honor youth in elementary through high school making a positive difference in the community.

Bellevue Youth Link is a youth leadership program sponsored by the city of Bellevue and Bellevue public schools

Nomination forms can be picked up in Bellevue school offices, City Hall, Crossroads and Factoria Mini City Halls, Bellevue public libraries and community centers (Crossroads, Highland, North Bellevue and South Bellevue). A nomination form can also be completed and downloaded from the Youth Link website.

The awards will be presented at the Youth Link Community Leadership Awards, 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday May 26, at City Hall. Youth Awards will be given for the following categories:

Most Inspirational Youth – Boy; Most Inspirational Youth – Girl; Athlete – Boy; Athlete – Girl; Scholar – Boy; Scholar – Girl; Youth Leader – Boy; Youth Leader – Girl; Diversity Champion; Environmental Champion; Youth Volunteer – Boy; Youth Volunteer – Girl; Elementary School Student; Middle School Student; High School Student; “Warming Hearts Award;” Norm Maleng Award*; BYC MVP Award – Boy*; BYC MVP Award – Girl*; Phil Kushlan Volunteer Award*
