Bellevue Rotary awarded three grants to Eastside organizations March 13.

A $2,000 grant was given to to Susan Camerer, executive director and co-founder of Vision House, a Christian social service agency based outside of Seattle, which has provided transitional housing, support services and child care for homeless mothers and their children and separately to homeless men recovering from drug and alcohol addition since 1990.

Bellevue Rotary also presented a grant of $2,000 to Liz Stiger, area director of Young Life Eastside Capernaum. Young Life works with children to help them feel safe and have the confidence to stand by their convictions.

A $1,500 grant was presented to Karen Nestvold, development and outreach manager for Music Works Northwest, a non-profit community music school offering music lessons and performance experiences for all ages.

The Bellevue Rotary Club is an organization of approximately 200 business and professional leaders that provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and work to build goodwill in the community. It is the largest Rotary club on the Eastside.
