LiseMarie Curda of Bellevue, a double major in accountancy and history, will receive her bachelor’s degree during Providence College’s commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 16. A graduate of PC’s Liberal Arts Honors Program, she is the first recipient of the Gustave C. and Rita A. Cote Business Accounting Award for achievement in accounting and contributions to the community.
A four-year Accounting Association member and its president – and executive secretary of the PC service organization, the Friars Club – as a senior, Curda was inducted into Dirigo, the student leadership honor society, in 2009 and Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history, in 2010.
Curda – who helped lead the Rhode Island school’s PC’s 2009 Transformations Retreat on leadership, and was a resident assistant for two years – was named November 2009 PC Student Leader of the Month.
She will take the Washington State CPA Exam this summer and will join the Seattle office of Deloitte & Touche, LLP as an audit assistant.
