Bellevue Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in Bellevue and Renton burglaries.
In the Bellevue case, a mother and her 9 year-old son passed a black GMC Denali driven by a white female just as they arrived home on March 22 and discovered three suspects walking out of her home with bags of stolen property in hand.
A few hours earlier, the same three suspects were seen burglarizing a Renton home. In that case, the Renton resident arrived home just in time to find the three armed, male suspects breaking into his home. He was threatened and robbed at gunpoint of a large amount of traditional gold East Indian jewelry.
Surveillance video showed that the suspects used two vehicles — a black GMC Denali and a Silver Nissan Altima. Witnesses agree that the Denali bore out of state plates — possibly Idaho or Oregon.
The driver of the Nissan was not seen. The driver of the Denali was described as a white or Hispanic female with long dark hair, 25-30 years-old.
Police cited several factors shared by both cases:
Three similarly described Black male adult suspects in their twenties.
Similar clothing descriptions. One suspect wore earphones.
Suspects were all Spanish speakers.
White or Hispanic female seen driving a newer model black GMC Terrain Denali.
In both cases, the same method was used to force entry into the home.
Suspects appear to have targeted collections of jewelry.
Due to the out-of-state license plate, the unique description of the suspects, and a lack of previous contact with this group or similar groups in the Seattle area, Bellevue Police believe that this may be a traveling group of thieves/burglars/robbers. It is likely they stayed at a hotel/motel in the greater Seattle area.
If anyone has seen a group matching this description (especially near a local motel), witnessed the suspects selling jewelry, or have any additional information about these suspects or crimes they are asked to contact Bellevue PD Detective Bean at 425-577-5656 or King County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sampson 206-296-3311.
