Mary Bosseler, daughter of Bellevue police officer John Bosseler, has won the 2010 Scholarship for Children of Law Enforcement and Fire Service Personnel from the Washington Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (WBFAA).

Mary is the first child of a Bellevue public-safety officer to win the $2,500 scholarship, which goes to two students each year. She plans to attend Whitworth College in the fall to major in nursing.

The WBFAA will present the scholarship to Mary at its annual membership meeting, May 18 at Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant.
